Today, Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity is one of the largest men’s general fraternities in North America with more than 280,000 initiated members and nearly 200 active chapters at colleges and universities across the US and Canada. It was the first fraternity to eliminate pledging in the early 1970s, and remains a leader in the fight against hazing, alcohol abuse, drugs, and other challenges facing today’s college student.
Lambda Chi Alpha offers a great deal to its members: we continually strive to build men into leaders by facilitating personal growth and fostering steadfast values. Lambda Chi Alpha bases itself around seven core values: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Service and Stewardship, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. As a result of our commitment to these values, many of our members find themselves in roles of leadership within the university and in life beyond. Lambda Chi brothers have held the office of ASUI (student body) president two years since our charter in 2009. Our community service programs make a positive, long-lasting impact on the local and national communities. The bonds of brotherhood and lifelong friendships created in Lambda Chi Alpha impact our members even more profoundly. Regardless of your background, major, hometown, or personality, we can offer you these same bonds and experiences.
