Lambda Chi Alpha takes academics very seriously. For the past five semesters, our academic program has successfully helped our members reach a grade point average above both the All-Male Greek average & the All-University average.
Our academic plan includes study hours completed every week based on academic Grade Point Average; if a brother gets good grades, he is not required to attain very many hours (however, good grades come from good study habits). If a brother receives a less than desirable GPA, then he is required to complete more hours dedicated to academics (not only studying, but visiting professors and receiving tutor help) in order to achieve better grades.
The mission of the Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation is to fund, develop and support values-based education programs and activities which will inspire a lifetime of personal growth, leadership, service, and deep fraternal relationships.
The Educational Foundation believes in preparing and encouraging collegiate men of good character, high ethics, and noble ideals to contribute positively to the world in which they live. The Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation is a separate charitable and educational tax-exempt organization, separate and independent from the Fraternity, whose sole purpose is to serve as an educational resource for the brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Dollars raised go toward educational programming and initiatives, such as the Stead Leadership Seminar and Lambda Chi Alpha’s TRUE Brother Initiative, to help build and invest in Lambda Chi Alpha’s future leaders.
Each year the Educational Foundation funds specific programming to further pursue our mission and vision. As a glimpse into the type of funding the Educational Foundation provides, in 2017-2018 the Foundation will specifically support:
2017 Stead Leadership Seminar – $95,000
Career Services & Professional Development Training – $30,000
2018 High Alpha Summit & Officers Summit – $48,000
